What a weekend at Rumsey Hall! Our first-ever Family Weekend brought families from near and far to campus for two days of school spirit, time together, and a chance to experience Rumsey beyond the everyday school routine.
From classrooms and athletic fields to Friday evening’s 38th Annual Auction Celebration, there was no shortage of activity across campus. It was wonderful to see so many members of our community come together, enjoy familiar traditions, and take part in a few new ones.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this first Family Weekend one to remember!
Friday evening’s 38th Annual Auction & Celebration was truly one for the books! Guests stepped into a surrealist garden party filled with oversized flowers, melting clocks, a touch of magic, and plenty of surprises, all brought to life by the imagination and hard work of our dedicated parent volunteers.
Beyond the festivities, the evening marked an incredible milestone for Rumsey Hall. Together, our community raised $400,000, including nearly $200,000 for the Rumsey Bridge Scholarship Fund.
Established last year as Rumsey’s first endowed scholarship fund, the Bridge Fund will provide financial aid for generations of students to come. The tremendous response to this year’s paddle raise was an important step toward building a fund that will help make a Rumsey education possible for more deserving students and strengthen the School for the future.
An enormous thank you goes to our Auction Committee, sponsors, donors, and the many parent volunteers who devoted countless hours to planning, decorating, gathering auction items, and making the evening possible. Thank you as well to everyone who placed a bid, raised a paddle, or supported the Auction from afar. This remarkable result reflects the generosity of the entire Rumsey community.
For the first time, Lower and Upper School families came together for a shared Family Weekend, offering a chance to see and experience the full breadth of life at Rumsey.
Throughout the weekend, families had the opportunity to spend time in classrooms, enjoy student performances, cheer on our athletic teams, and connect with the teachers and friends. From our youngest Blue Dogs in Pre-K to our graduating VIIth Formers, it was a pleasure to welcome families into the many spaces where our students learn, grow, and find their place in the community.
To our families, alumni, grandparents, friends, faculty, and staff: thank you for all that you do for Rumsey Hall. Whether you joined us on campus, supported the Auction, volunteered your time, or celebrated with us from afar, your involvement makes a difference.
We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to show up for its students and for one another.
