Rumsey Hall has a thriving International Student Community.

We welcome the opportunity to speak more with you about how our expert educators get to know each student and inspire them on their journey here and on to secondary school.

International Student Application Guidelines

The Admission deadline for all international student applications is December 15, 2024. All application materials, including an interview, must be completed and submitted, by this date. Families will be notified of a decision on January 15, 2025. Subsequent to the December date, international boarding student applications will be considered on space availability.

Special Note: According to SAO website information, students in mainland China must follow the below steps for SAO account creation:
1. All new accounts and test product purchases must begin at https://ssatchina.cn/ssat/
2. After your account is set up return to ssat.org to log in and start the SAO

Admissions Requirements and Checklist

1. COMPLETE OUR RUMSEY HALL INQUIRY FORM.

2. SCHEDULE AN ON CAMPUS TOUR AND PERSONAL INTERVIEW.

During your campus visit, you’ll enjoy a campus tour with a member of the Admission Team and a Student Ambassador. Following the tour the Admission Representative will interview the student and meet with the family. Contact admissions@rumseyhall.org to schedule your visit.

While visiting campus is best, we understand that some students are unable to attend an in-person interview prior to the application deadline, and therefore, a ZOOM interview can be scheduled. Complete your interview with a member of our admission team. Please keep in mind we will have limited availability.

3. COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION through the SAO (Student Application Online) portal.

*Please note we ask that you complete the student bio section, the student essay, and the parent statement prior to the visit and interview.

4. COMPLETE ALL ADDITIONAL APPLICATION MATERIALS through the SAO. Please submit all additional required materials by December 15, 2024.

Three years of previous school transcripts (2023-24, 2022-23, 2021-22) through the SAO (Student Application Online).
English and Math Teacher recommendations.
Principal/Guidance Counselor Statement.

5. SUBMIT TOEFL Jr. scores - please email scores directly to admissions@rumseyhall.org.
