Thursday, June 4, 2026
- Pre-K Year-End Celebration – 8:00 a.m. – The Maxwell A. Sarofim ’05 Performing Arts Center
- Last Day of Classes (All Students) – 3:00 p.m. dismissal
- Senior Class BBQ – 4:30–7:00 p.m.
Friday, June 5, 2026
- Day Student Drop Off (Pre-K/K Optional) – 10:00 a.m.
- Commencement Rehearsal (Pre-Primes–VIIth Form students) – 10:30–11:30 a.m.
- Lower School Year-End Ceremony (Kindergarten–IIIrd Form students and families) – 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. – P. Lincoln Cornell Athletic Field (under a tent)
- Lower School Family Luncheon (All Lower School students and families welcome) – 12:45–1:45 p.m. in Farmen Hall, followed by dismissal
- Upper School Awards Ceremony (Upper School students and families) – 1:00–2:00 p.m. – P. Lincoln Cornell Athletic Field (under a tent)
- Evening Reception for Senior Class & Parents at Solley House – 6:00–8:00 p.m.
- Commencement Dance (Upper School students) in the Magnoli Gymnasium – 7:30–10:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11 AM: Commencement Ceremony
All are welcome–family, friends, alumni, and members of the extended Rumsey community.
We look forward to celebrating this joyful occasion with everyone who has been part of our students’ journeys. Commencement is a meaningful milestone, and all Lower and Upper School students are strongly encouraged to attend. Pre-Primes (1st grade) through VIIth Form (9th grade) participate in the ceremony. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students are invited to join their families in the audience.
- Location: P. Lincoln Cornell Athletic Field (under a tent)
- Ceremony Time: 11:00 a.m.
- Arrival Times:
- Seniors: 9:45 a.m. – Report to the Main Office Building for flowers and senior class photos.
- Under Formers: 10:30 a.m. – Arrive for lineup.
- Dress Code: Students and Graduates must follow the guidelines in the Commencement section of the Dress Code.
- Post-Ceremony Luncheon: 1:00 p.m.
- Boarding Student Departure: All boarding students are to depart campus on Saturday afternoon.
- Livestream: The Commencement Ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. A link will be shared closer to the event.
