For the past five decades, Rumsey students, teachers, parents, and friends have traveled to Bromley Mountain in Peru, Vermont for three days of skiing and snowboarding. This trip coincides with Head of School’s Weekend.
- Trip Dates: February 8–10, 2026
- No classes: Monday, February 9, and Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Classes resume Wednesday, February 11 at 9:00 a.m.
- Boarding students: May either go on the Bromley Ski Trip or go home for the long weekend (Friday after sports – Tuesday afternoon).
The trip departs on Sunday, February 8 at 8:00 a.m. and returns Tuesday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. We will prioritize 8th and 9th grade students and boarders who cannot travel home for the long weekend.
Upper School Students Attending Bromley
- Permission Form: Complete the Bromley Trip Permission Form via the Rumsey portal by Friday, December 19, 2025.
Log Into the Blue Dog Portal - Cost: $1100, which includes transportation, lodging, meals, lunch money, supervision, and a 3-day lift ticket.
- Payment: Payment for Bromley Trip is required to reserve your spot.
- Domestic Families: Payment via check (do not include lessons/equipment fees in Trip Payment) of $1100 must be mailed or dropped off by: January 12, 2026

- Refunds: No refunds after Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
- Financial Assistance: Available via the Blue Dog Fund. Apply by Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Submit the Financial Assistance Form
- Waitlist: If we are unable to accommodate your child, they will be placed on a waitlist.
Families and Lower School Students
All families are welcome to join the Bromley Trip!
- Lower School students: Must be accompanied by a parent.
- Tickets: Families can be added to the discounted tickets list. You will pick up your tickets at Bromley Mountain guest services and pay Bromley directly. Complete the ticket request form
- Lodging Recommendation: Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester, VT (9 miles from Bromley).

Not Attending?
Boarding students not attending Bromley must be off campus from Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 p.m. until Tuesday, February 10 at 3:30 p.m.
- Optional early departure: After sports on Friday, February 6.
- Return: By Tuesday, February 10 at 9:00 p.m.
- Action Required: Complete a Weekend Pass on REACH by Monday, January 26, 2026.
