Lower School Fire Prevention

Students across the country in October focus on fire safety in celebration of Fire Prevention Week. Lower School students will take part in numerous health classes where they will talk about the ins and outs of fire prevention and what to do should a fire occur in their surroundings. On Friday, October 10, the Washington Volunteer Fire Department will visit to talk about fire prevention, evacuation plans, firefighting equipment, and our local department’s role in the community. This will be followed by a tour of one of our town’s impressive fire trucks.
