Parents will be able to access and pay tuition and fees for the 2024-2025 Academic Year as follows:

Payment Plan 1 and 2 Payment Plan 2 payers will be able to access and pay tuition and fees for the 2024-2025 Academic Year starting on July 1st, with payment being due by July 5th. Prior to July 1st,
please refer to your enrollment contract for the amount that is due.

Monthly payers will be able to access and pay their first monthly tuition payment for the 2024-2025 Academic Year on June 1st, with payment being due by June 5th. The second payment,
due July 5th, includes tuition and fees, with the remaining monthly payments from August to
February being payments of tuition only and are due on the 5th of each month.

To review your submitted enrollment contract, please log in to your Blue Dog Portal account, click on your name in the top right corner, select Files and Forms, and check the box to show completed
forms. You will now be able to review your enrollment contract along with the fee definitions and the payment plan you chose for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

The enrollment deposit is 10% of net tuition and is due with the Enrollment Contract. It is non-refundable and is applied towards the student’s tuition. This fee, as per the contract, is to hold the student’s place at Rumsey Hall School. 

The school orders and provides all required print and digital textbooks for students at no additional fee. These textbooks are distributed in class at the beginning of each Academic Year.

Tuition Refund Plan

The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) covers net tuition only and is required for all contracts with the exception of those that select the One-Pay Payment Plan. TRP is 1.5% of net tuition and is billed on July 1. You may calculate your expected TRP Payment as follows: (Tuition - FA) x .015 = payment. Statements or Payment Plan charges are visible in the Portal on June 1st for monthly payers and July 1st for 1 and 2 payers. You may easily calculate your expected Plan Payments by following the prescribed formulas in the Payment Plans below.

• Payment Plan 1:  Full payment of annual tuition and fees, due July 5, 2023. Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is optional.
• Payment Plan 2: Two payments, due July 5, 2023 and November 5, 2023. Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is required.
  • Due July 5:  67% of net tuition (tuition - aid) after deposit, plus full payment of fees.
  • Due November 5: 33% of net tuition (tuition - aid) after deposit.
• Monthly: This plan is for Domestic Students only or any International Students with a domestic bank account. Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is required.
  • Due on 5th of each month, June - February: net tuition (tuition - aid) after deposit divided by 9.  A non-refundable one-time fee of $50.00 will be charged to your billing account on July 1^st, due on July 5th, along with any other fees and your second tuition monthly payment.  In the event of insufficient funds, you will be notified by the Business Office and a NSF fee of $25.00 will be charged to your tuition account. Nine-month payers must set up AUTO PAY to ensure on-time payments. Visit the Billing Tab in the Blue Dog Portal and follow the Instructions to set up Auto Pay. Contact billing@rumseyhall.org for support.

All international students are required to pay a fee of $2,735.00. This fee provides them with health insurance coverage and dental insurance coverage. Rumsey requires students be covered by a comprehensive injury and sickness plan; one that meets the high cost of medical services and is accepted by our local providers and practitioners. The fee is due July 5th.

Each boarding student receives a personal laundry bag from E & R Laundry. The weekly service includes: wash/dry/fold; professional shirt laundering and pressing; pants and/or skirts pressed and hung; dry cleaning. All boarding student tuition accounts will be charged the annual E & R Laundry fee of $1,174, due July 5th. To decline this laundry service, please contact Dean of Students, Mr. Perreault at 860-868-0535 Ext. 102 or pperreault@rumseyhall.org. With confirmation of request, your account will be credited for the Laundry Fee for Boarding Students.

This program offers one-on-one instruction five times a week by Orton-Gillingham trained teachers. Where applicable, the student’s curriculum is individualized and directed towards the student’s learning differences. The annual fee for Learning Skills is $8,300.00, billed July 1st and due July 5th.
