Thank you for making Holiday Cards!

THANK YOU!  We collected over 200 cards on campus this week and they look amazing! Rumsey Hall is full of gratitude for your efforts this week. Thank you for sending cards directly to us, making them on campus in the Lower School, and for sending them directly to ‘Cards for Hospitalized Kids’ and other agencies. In an email this week, we received updates from students abroad who found local places in service of children to send the cards to. So far we know agencies in Yunnan Province and Shanghai in China that received these student-made cards. These are positive gestures to kids and their families who may feel alone, scared, or unseen for the duration of their illnesses.

While travel and visitation restrictions are so high at this time of year, we encourage you to think of others that may enjoy receiving a card or letter. Consider family shelters, homeless shelters, senior homes, or even someone in your community or family that has a condition or situation that requires them to live more isolated.  We thank you again for your compassion and kindness.

Happy and healthy holidays to you all!

Craig Ough, Director of Community Service
