Students Innovate with Campus Solutions in Entrepreneurship Class
January 24, 2025
In Head of School Ian Craig’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation class, Rumsey Hall students are transforming challenges into opportunities. Using the Design Thinking process, small groups identified campus issues and presented their creative solutions to classmates and faculty during a recent showcase.
Ideas ranged from addressing dining hall waste to proposing an accessible pop-up café to foster community. One group tackled adding mobile campus scoreboards to enhance the game-day experience on some of the outdoor athletics fields and tennis courts.
This immersive project not only honed students' problem-solving and teamwork skills but also demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact on their school community. “Seeing their innovative ideas come to life is inspiring,” said one faculty judge. “They’re learning to turn concepts into actionable solutions.”
