Student-Led Effort Brings Challenged Athletes Foundation to Rumsey

Rumsey Hall recently hosted an inspiring presentation by Robert Anthony, a member of the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team and a Paralympic triathlete. The event was organized by the school's Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) club, which was founded this year by Arielle M. '25. Arielle's passion for the CAF began as a bat mitzvah project in seventh grade, and she has since dedicated herself to raising awareness and support for physically disabled athletes.

During her heartfelt introduction, Arielle shared how her family's involvement with CAF inspired her to start the club at Rumsey. She expressed excitement about bringing Robert Anthony to campus, describing him as "one of the most positive people" she has met. Robert captivated the Rumsey community with his remarkable journey, showcasing the resilience and determination that have driven his achievements in multiple sports. His story highlighted the transformative impact of CAF, which provides resources like prosthetics and training for athletes.
