The Annual Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards is the largest juried student art exhibition in the state. It is a high level exhibition. Last year there was 150 participating Connecticut schools in grades 7-12. There were approximately 2500 total art entries, 683 works were accepted for exhibit at the University of Hartford. From that accepted number, there were 259 Gold Key awards, 197 Silver keys and 225 Honorable Mention awards granted. Grayson Gordon received an honorable mention in the 7th grade digital artwork category. Maxine Maag received an honorable mention in the 8th grade drawing and illustration category. Evelyn Kim won a silver key award in the 7th grade drawing and illustration division. Lastly, Emily Son received the highest honor of a gold key award in the 9th grade digital artwork category. Emily’s image will be considered for National Level recognition!
