Rumsey's Commitment to Community

Rumsey Hall students have again demonstrated their commitment to giving back to the community through their enthusiastic participation in community service work. This past weekend our Blue Dogs' journey began with a meaningful excursion to Gulf Beach in Milford, CT, and Old Maid Park in Trumbull, CT. At both picturesque locations, our dedicated students wholeheartedly engaged in a two-hour trash clean-up effort, resulting in the removal of over 1,000 pieces, weighing approximately 175 pounds, of litter.

This collective endeavor served as a valuable contribution to Save the Sound, a division of Connecticut's Council for the Environment, known for its tireless efforts in organizing events to eliminate litter from inland waters and the pristine Long Island Sound. The remarkable success of this year's community service kick-off event is a testament to the dedication of our students and teachers who volunteered their time and energy to making a positive impact in our community.
