During the last week of school, boarding students will work with dorm parents to pack up belongings and clean their rooms. Each student will complete an end-of-year room checkout sheet. If students can not take all of their belongings home with them, they may have boxes shipped or stored at Rumsey if they are returning next year.
- Returning students may store up to 4 boxes and athletic gear (bikes, skis, hockey bag, etc) at Rumsey. These items will be stored at Lufkin Rink for the summer and then moved to your child’s new dorm room when school starts.
- Student items that you would like to be mailed home will be taken to The Packaging Depot on June 8th. Please call or email the Packaging Depot after June 8th to arrange payment and confirm your shipping address.
- For seniors going to a new school in the Fall, the packaging depot will store items for the summer and ship them to your next school. Please call or email the Packaging Depot after June 8th to arrange payment and confirm the address of your child’s next school.
Students will have time to pack and clean rooms during the last week of school. We suggest that you talk with your child about what they are storing at Rumsey and what items should be shipped.
Boarding students should be picked up from their dorm on Saturday, June 4 after the commencement ceremony. Students will be ready to depart campus at 1 p.m. and flights should be scheduled for 5 p.m. or later.
