Action Requested: January Return-to-School Plans

December 1, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the winter holiday season begins, we remain deeply appreciative of the strength and solidarity of the Rumsey Hall community. Your support and good will during this new academic year made for a very successful and safe fall term. Thank you for your continued partnership.

Today, I send this reminder that as we look ahead to the January 10 return from the Winter Recess, we need to have an accurate count of which students will be returning to campus for live classes. Having these numbers is crucial in determining what adjustments need to be made to provide  a safe environment for our students and faculty. We will use this information to ensure proper spacing in all classrooms, determine optimal occupancy in dorms, and enroll students in after school enrichment/athletic activities.

Although we understand that there are many variables that make this decision difficult, particularly for our international families, we are asking all families to complete this form by December 10 to indicate whether your child(ren) will attend classes live in January or participate in our hybrid-distance program. If you already completed this form and your plans have not changed, you do not need to complete it again. Our tuition refund plan remains the same as it was in the fall; if you choose to keep your child home for the term, we will rebate 10% of that term’s tuition.
