Please note that International families have pre-funded their accounts but will not see the account balance reflected until the end of the month.
Each student is provided with a student spending account which is used for School Store purchases, student bank (for boarding students); and other incidentals such as weekend activities, travel fees, athletic items, some school supplies, testing fees, and other incidentals.
Rumsey Hall uses MyKidsSpending, an online platform for parents to fund their child’s account using either a credit card or bank account. Spending activity is available on line to be viewed at any point in time, however, please know that some transactions are posted by Rumsey Hall in the month(s) following the expense, so the current balance may not reflect all charges.
There is a small fee associated with using MyKidsSpending (depending on the option you choose) but we trust that the convenience and transparency of this system will make the fee worthwhile. You will receive a separate email from MyKidsSpending in the coming days with log-on instructions and further details. Please wait for that email to begin the funding process.
Please understand that this account must remain positive at all times and spending restrictions may apply for accounts that do not have funding balances.
We ask that you fund the account by Friday, August 25th. The payment levels and schedules are below.
U.S. BOARDING STUDENTS: Estimated FULL AMOUNT = $4,500
- Please fund before each of the three terms in increments of $1,500.
- This does not include music lessons, tennis lessons, riding lessons, Mohawk ski team, Bromley or any other trips. Additional funds will be required for those activities therefore please pre-fund your account at time of sign-up.
INTERNATIONAL BOARDING STUDENTS: Estimated FULL AMOUNT = $5,000
- You have pre-funded your spending account therefore your funding level should read $5,000 and no additional funding is needed at this time.
UPPER SCHOOL DAY STUDENTS: Estimated FULL AMOUNT = $1,500
- Please fund before each of the three terms in increments of $500.
- This does not include music lessons, tennis lessons, riding lessons, Mohawk ski team, Bromley or any other trips. Additional funds will be required for those activities therefore please pre-fund your account at time of sign-up.
LOWER SCHOOL STUDENTS: Estimated FULL AMOUNT = $600
- Please fund before each of the three terms in increments of $200.
- Students might have very small charges such as classroom supplies. Picture portraits and yearbooks come out of this account as well. This account may be used by parents to purchase an item such as a school tie or extra patch for their child at the school store for convenience.
- This does not include music lessons, tennis lessons or Tang Soo Do. If your child is signed up for these Afternoon Enrichment Program(AEP) activities, additional funds will be required, therefore please pre-fund your account at time of sign-up.
- Please note that Pre-K students enrolled in AEP will be charged $500.00 per term therefore please pre-fund your account accordingly at time of sign-up.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Your child’s funds roll over from term to term and year to year, therefore if the funding levels above currently exist in your account, you are not required to add additional funds at that time. Also, please note that any funds remaining after your child leaves Rumsey will be returned to you.
