WINTER TERM
Varsity Hockey (boys)
Highly competitive fourteen-game schedule with two tournaments.
One hour minimum ice time daily, Monday through Fridays, on
artificial ice. Generally for Forms V, VI and VII.
Junior Hockey (boys)
Competitive hockey for beginners and advanced young skaters.
Ten games scheduled. The emphasis here is on basics and skating.
Generally for Forms II, III, IV, V and some VI.
Instructional Ice Hockey (boys)
This is a beginner's program on our natural ice. Learn to
skate and play ice hockey. Generally for Forms I, II and III
and some Upper Schoolers.
Varsity Volleyball (girls)
Fourteen-game competitive schedule, two tournaments. A superior
program for accomplished players or girls wanting to excel
at the game. Generally for Forms V, VI and VII.
Varsity B Volleyball (girls)
The emphasis at this level is basics and fundamentals. Girls
play ten games at intervals through the season to measure
progress. Generally for Forms IV, V, VI and some VII.
Junior Volleyball (girls)
Instructional program for true beginners to learn volleyball
skills. Generally for Forms I, II and III.
Varsity Basketball (boys)
Competitive fifteen-game schedule and one tournament. Rumsey's
best basketball players. Generally for Forms V, VI and VII
(limited roster).
Varsity B Basketball (boys)
A program with a ten-game schedule. This program is for beginners
and experienced young basketball players. Generally for Forms
V, VI and VII.
Junior Basketball (boys)
Competitive basketball program with a ten-game schedule. Great
for beginners and experienced young players. Generally for
Forms III, IV and V.
Varsity Basketball (girls)
Competitive ten to twelve game schedule. A program for girls
who want to learn and excel at the game. Generally for forms
V, VI, and VII (limited roster)
Wrestling (boys)
Competitive eight-match schedule. Wrestlers of all abilities
are included in one group. Generally for Forms II - VII.
Varsity Ski Team (co-ed)
A competitive program with skiing five days a week at Mohawk
Mountain. Ten meets, bi-weekly course runnings. Emphasis on
racing technique. Open to Forms III - VII (limited roster).
There is an extra charge for a seasonšs pass.
Varsity B Ski Team (co-ed)
Some competitive meets. Great for beginners and experienced
skiers. Generally for Forms III - VII. There is an extra charge
for a seasonšs pass.
Recreational Skiing (co-ed)
Open to all students with good academic and social standing.
This is a non-competitive program which emphasizes fun. There
is abundant supervision and top instruction is available.
This group goes skiing five days a week at Mohawk Mountain.
WRITTEN PERMISSION to ski MUST be in the office before the
winter term begins or students will be placed into a competitive
sport. For Forms I - VII. There is an extra charge for a season's
pass.
Super Juniors (co-ed)
This program is geared for Lower School students in grades
K-Primes who wish to have fun participating in physical activities.
